Walk in Walt's Disneyland Footsteps Tour***
We took a title tour of some of the park's highlights including riding on Alice in Wonderland, Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, and one of Walt's personal favorites, the Disneyland Railroad. These weren't just "rides" they were a whole different experience thanks to our tour guide sharing stories about Walt and his passion for different aspects of the park and attractions. Even if you have experienced these attractions before, there was a little something extra added to the experience on the tour.
After Walt's passing, Roy and the rest of the family did not feel right utilizing the space so it sat vacant for years. Over the years, the space has been used for numerous things including storage and offices for the Disney Imagineers while planing Tokyo Disney. For the Year of a Million Dreams kick off in 2006, the Disney team decided to make the suite a reality. Each day, a lucky park goer was chosen at random to spend the night in the Dream Suite! Yes, spend the night INSIDE of Disneyland - how awesome! After the Year of a Million Dreams ended, they still utilize the Dream Suite for special giveaways and promotions. It is truly a part of Disney magic as you cannot buy a night in the Dream Suite so you can go ahead and put your Disney Visa back into your wallet.
We were not allowed to take any photographs while in the Dream Suite, but let me just tell you that it is AMAZING! The little Disney details and touches of magic are unbelievable. I will refrain from sharing these things with you and let you find out for yourself on the tour. As our tour concluded, we each got to have our picture taken inside of the Dream Suite which is definitely a picture of a lifetime!
