The Atlanta Lab Rescue 5K was held at Jim Miller Park, so there was ample parking for the few hundred runners, spectators, and volunteers on hand. This also meant that you could pretty much stay in your car nice and warm a while longer. BONUS! The indoor facilities were open so we didn't have to use portos!
In the first mile, there was a lot of uphill, however all the steady uphill that you do in the first half turned into a steady and gradual downhill the back half. My time wasn't my best by any means, nor was it really ideal. However, after doing a lot of running, sight-seeing, and traveling the past two weeks, I am pretty pleased. I still beat last year's time by about a minute, so that is always a positive.
